Edinburgh’s New Town was designed with uniformity in mind. Wide parallel streets, properties hewn from ashlar stone from nearby Craigleith quarry and entrance doors and windows, identical both in style and colour, were the order of the day – and with very rare exceptions – still are. However, although the exteriors may be uniform, inside it may be a very different story indeed. In fact, we work with many discerning clients, each with unique and individual tastes and, as the saying goes, you should never judge a book by its cover.
