City Centre Restoration
Edinburgh
We have been restoring and converting Edinburgh period homes for over 20 years. This means we have the skills, knowledge and experience to help and advise you on what works well when combining traditional period features with modern living. Take this period home for example: the spacious internal door is adorned with a Georgian fanlight window which makes the most of the natural light, the broad, sweeping staircase and original cornices are retained as is the oak fireplace in the drawing room which together combine to reflect the original period. However, as Georgian homes did not have bathrooms, one has been created which contains a walk-in shower and a ‘his and hers’ combined sink to meet the busy lifestyle of a modern family.
When it comes to the kitchen, the units are of a classic Shaker style which allows the AGA to become a focal point in the room. This combined with the stainless steel appliances and wine rack add a contrasting modern feel.
